Happy Friday Folks~!

This is an extra special Friday for us, Aaron gets home tonight from a long trip to London.  Words can't express how excited we all are to have him home!
Here's your homework, take a nice relaxing bubble bath over the weekend :)

Photographer in the making!

A few weeks ago we were driving home and out of no where Cason said, "mommy, i want to take pictures."  Not knowing what he was talking about I just kinda said okay and blew it off.  He kept repeating it as if he wanted me to take him serious so when we got home he continued explaining to me that he REALLY wanted to take pictures.  He is a smart little boy and insisted on using a real camera.  In his own words, "not pretend camera" so I dug out my box of old point and shoots out of my closet and let him have one.
Honestly, I didn't think he was smart enough to know how to use it but boy was I wrong...he snapped away all evening long.  I will admit as a mom that LOVES photography I was really excited about his new interest.  That night he went to sleep holding his camera and I slipped it out of his grasp and decided to see if he really did take any pictures.  To my surprise he had filled up the memory stick and I am going to share with you a few of his photos.  There is something about this experience that melts my heart, I am in love with these photos because it shows the world through his perspective.  The most amazing part to me if the photos of our vehicles taken at his height.  This is through the eyes of a 3 year old.

Little Stinker!

Warning:  This post might come as a shock to you as it has me over the past couple of weeks!

Well, my sweet baby who has always been so loving and innocent (well, is still loving but not so innocent).  Over the past 18 months he has mastered the skills of how to challenge his mommy to the fullest just to the point where she is about to lose her mind.

We will hope it is only a "phase" but lately little Pookie has proved to be head strong and not at all accepting of the word "no."  This little guy has actually made me question myself as a mother and wonder what am I doing wrong.  An 18 month old can't possibly be this stubborn!

It has to be his way and on his time or the wrath of Parker will emerge and let me be the first one to tell you, you don't want to experience this.

I am talking crying, screaming, pouting, tantrums that last FOREVER!
He is definitely challenging me in a way my oldest never has~ and for that I am in love with him.  If I can take these traits of his and make sure he uses them in a positive way, he will accomplish great things in life.  He is just like his daddy...oh but look at that sweet face!!

Dinner with Friends

We have been hanging around the house lately, we had dinner with friends last week (always a good time).  I do believe it's official, Cason has his first best friend.  Him and Caleb are inseparable and he talks about playing with Caleb constantly!

Lately~

Last week we had gorgeous weather and needed to spend some family time together before Aaron headed overseas to London.
A lady Aaron works with was so kind to send home bags of bulbs for us so we planted flowers, thanks Pam!

Trick or Treat

Are you ready for this....when I asked Cason what he wanted to be this year for Halloween I was sure he would say something like "spiderman, buzz lightyear, or a dinosaur" NOPE, his reply, "a front end loader and a back hoe."  He kept talking "and I want bubba to be a dump truck,"  I was thinking to myself this has to be a joke because let me remind you of Cason's choice for a costume last year...
We tried everything to get him to change his mind but he insisted on being a MOTH.  I'm going to let you in on a secret, you can't buy a moth costume in the U.S.  the closest thing I could find was on ebay from Canada.  I had fun making it though and he is actually a cute little moth!
Needless to say my little man topped the moth this year with his request.

Last year little P was a monkey.
So after much research and hard labor here is the boys 2010 costumes.  I think they are the absolute cutest construction workers I have ever seen.  We had a BLAST this year trick or treating.  Oh and one more thing about my 3 year old, when I was almost done with his costume he came out in the garage to take a peek at it and he looked it over as if I needed his approval and said to me "mommy aren't front end loaders supposed to have a smoke stack." HA, I am not kidding, he is a riot!

Parker was hilarious with his bucket of candy, he had a death grip and wouldn't let anyone near it!

SO MUCH FUN!

I am so excited about this post~ A few weeks ago I had a blast capturing this family!  I want to first say that I am just a mom who REALLY enjoys taking pictures of her boys and am more than thrilled to get to expand this LOVE I have.  Joey is such a good friend of mine from college.  As a matter of fact, we are alike in so many ways and thank goodness the Pi Phi house survived us both within a year of each other :) This family is so gorgeous and made it so easy to capture some great photos!
I was only going to post a couple but what the heck, I am posting several! Joey, I can't wait to do it again!!
