Parker (Pookie Pie) is already 8 months old!

While driving the other day I asked Aaron why does it seem like Parker is growing up so much faster than Cason in his first year? Aaron's response was that it just seems that way because of how fast paced and hectic our lives have become after having 2 little boys :) He was right and when I think of how fast time flies and that my baby Pookie will be a year old in about 4 months it makes me sad! Parker you are my sunshine and I get teary eyed just typing this because you always bring a smile to my face and I love watching you grow....you are so simple and calm and you just love to laugh! Now that you are almost 8 months old new things are happening every day. You are standing on your own but haven't been brave enough yet to take that first step. You LOVE taking baths and you make mommy so nervous because you think you can crawl and stand up in the water just like normal ~ you will splash for hours. You are very curious now and you like to travel to places you haven't been before, your favorite room is now the kitchen. You go straight to the dog's water bowl and you laugh your whole way there. Hope everyone enjoys these recent pics of Parker!

Road trip to Muskogee!

We took Cason to the Christmas Kingdom in Muskogee and he had a great time! We were sure he would enjoy seeing all the blow-ups and lights but he was so much more excited about the tractor that was pulling the hay rides. He loved it so much that the driver let Cason sit on the tractor and drive it with daddy :) I don't think I have ever seen Cason smile so big!
There was a petting zoo and Cason kept calling the little goat a baby doggy....so funny!
I was positive Cason would be terrified of Santa, boy was I wrong, he got right up on Santa's lap and told him he wanted a tractor for Christmas.

White Christmas!

When we first heard it was going to snow we were so excited to have a white Christmas and thought Cason would have a blast playing it the snow....wrong! Not only did Cason hate it because it was too cold, we were not able to travel to our family Christmas in Chickasha. But we still had a good time! Cason had his first cup of hot chocolate with maw-maw and loved it!
Cason built his own little snowman but as you can see was ready to go back inside.
This is hilarious...yes Cason has Target bags on his feet. When he was ready to go outside we coudn't find his snow boots and he was not patient enough to look which explains the target bags.
Cason and daddy made snow angels!

Christmas 2009

Christmas this year was so much fun. Cason is now old enough to know that he has "prizes" under the tree. Cason and Parker both now have enough toys for us to compete with Toys R Us...I wish I would have thought to post a picture of our house, you can't turn a corner without stepping on a toy. Cason has officially learned the meaning of the word "mine" and has a hard time understanding the meaning of "share." We are working on that :)
We are so grateful and blessed for all we are able to provide for the boys!

Christmas Lights!

Cason is crazy about Christmas lights but especially those blow ups that people put in their yards. It has become a ritual that every night after dinner we get in mommy's car and drive around looking at the lights in our neighborhood.
His favorite ones are the "sparkly lights" or the blinking lights.
Aaron and I took Cason to Rhema last weekend and he had a blast. When we arrived Aaron put Cason down to walk and he immediately took off running as fast as he could to the lights. It was hilarious but also scary because in the flood of people we were chasing him (also a little embarrassing)

Bubba's first nickname

Cason has come up with his first official nickname for his brother...over the Thanksgiving break I said "Pumpkin Pie" to Parker and Cason had heard so now he calls Parker "Peekie Pie"
You can see how much he loves Parker right now, I am just wondering how long this will last.

Thanksgiving 2009

This year was such a wonderful Thanksgiving and I have so much to be thankful for. Aaron and I got to get out and have a wonderful evening with great friends!
