I have failed as a pet owner~ I have not yet introduced you to our 3 furbabies!
It all began when I was dating Aaron, he graduated and moved to Tulsa while I was still in school in Stillwater, so to keep him company I thought it would be a great idea to buy him a dog. Great idea huh, well wait until to meet Dax, our yorkie~ haha, yes of all breeds of dogs I chose a yorkie for Aaron. I am sure he was hoping for a more "manly" dog such as a Lab or Boxer but he didn't have the heart to tell me about his disappointment. Meet Dax, he was a gift to Aaron from me in 2001 and he is spoiled rotten.
Shortly after we got married and even though Aaron adored Dax he still had an itch to get the dog of his dreams so he decided on our Brittany Spaniel, Gunner. Gunner is a dream dog, perfect in every way (except chewing on the kid's toys). He is so lovable and full of energy.
So the story doesn't end here. We thought our family was complete until it was time to have kids but then Aaron went to London. Ha, while he was away overseas he had no idea what he was going to come home to.
I went to the pet store on a Saturday (don't recommend it) and the humane society was at the front door with so many pitiful looking dogs who needed homes. Honestly I have a big heart for dogs (love them) so I was reeled in when I laid eyes on Bella. She was shaking, too skinny, and had just had a leg amputated the day before. The humane society workers sealed the deal when they told me she would be euthanized if nobody adopted her that day. So I signed the paperwork and paid the money and loaded our 3rd dog in the car. We drove to the airport that night to pick up Aaron and he about DIED when he saw a 3 legged dog in the back of his car. She is a perfect companion for Gunner and always wants to show you love!
