Is this really my child??
Okay, so I know school pictures are usually horrendous but I thought Cason did such a great job at looking happy! I received these proofs on Thursday when I dropped him off at school. You will think I am crazy but the second I got in the car to leave I started balling hysterically. I mean look at him, he looks like such a big boy ~ he is supposed to be my baby, I am still supposed to be zipping him up in his footie pj's right before we rock and drink a bedtime bottle. For some reason these school photos sent me spiraling out of control into a "mommy" moment where I think "where has the past 3 years gone?"
I am having a hard time letting him grow up!
Oh and one more thing, you gotta love the first pose (Indian style in a pile of fake leaves) ha!

We miss our family!
We sure have been missing our Papaw Ben so we made a trip to visit him last weekend. I cannot begin to explain how happy Cason is when he is at Papaw's house. The boys absolutely LOVE visiting Papaw and all his "tractors." Aaron and I are pretty much convinced we need to move to the country now. It is so peaceful where he lives, we enjoyed spending the day outside. The boys were in Heaven, digging in the dirt, running, golfing, riding lawn mowers and tractors.
Papaw Ben is so loved by us but he means the world to me and has been there for me since I can remember. Thanks Papaw for all you have done for me and my family, you are such a blessing and we miss you.
We also made a stop to see my aunt Vicky & Uncle Danny, cousins Kaydee & Colby, and Grandma but I didn't have any battery left on my camera so I didn't get pics (maybe next time).
As I have started a family of my own now, I know that family is everything and we should treasure the time we have with each other. I am very close to my grandpa and these pictures will be treasured for years from now.

Cason's 1st dentist visit
My little guy is turning 3 in November so we decided it was time to visit the dentist.
I can't even explain how good he did~ the assistant told us normally kids his age will not even let them look and count the teeth. Cason had all 20 of his cleaned and flossed ~ I am so proud.

Camera time with Mommy!
Stumbled upon this picture of me and Cason while going through my pictures. I have the hardest time getting me and the boys behind the camera together and as you can see it's a weird angle but it works.
I am going to start trying to capture us in the mirror like I see some of the other talented mommies doing :)

My little helper!
Me and the boys wanted to make Halloween cookies to give away. Let me just say that this 'organized, thought through" event I had envisioned in my head of me spending some quality time with the boys in the kitchen ummm, not so much.
It was fun but the process took triple the amount of time it should have and after we were finished my kitchen looked as if some one had dropped bombs of flour from every angle possible.
But you know what, I wouldn't have it any other way~ because they enjoyed it. We started the process while Cason was at school so I had my little man helping me.
I thought if I just threw some bowls and spoons in the floor for Parker he would "think" he was helping mommy and I could do the real mixing on the island. Well I was wrong, I turned my back for one second and he had pulled the flour jar off the island (which I am still in disbelieve that he can reach that high) and had dumped it all over the floor.
I couldn't help but let him finish because he was so concentrated on what he was doing and was taking it very serious. It was like he was oblivious to the fact that he had dumped a pound of flour all over the tile.
His effort for trying to help deserves an A+, he is my little sweetheart and there is no one I would rather be baking cookies with than him!
To those who received some of the McDaniel's Halloween cookies, I hope you enjoyed them, they were made from the hands of a sweet little 17 month old boy who is a great helper to his mommy!

Happy Friday Post!
Here's my Happy Friday post, go indulge in one of your guilty pleasures this weekend! For Parker, his would be crusin' behind the wheel of mommy's car while enjoying some good ole country music!
Picking the perfect pumpkin!
As I mentioned before we have been doing lots of stuff around our house with pumpkins which required that we go to the patch to pick them out :) This pumpkin patch is huge and so much fun for the kids, we were so lucky to have the perfect weather that day. Check out the blue skies in these pics ~ so pretty! As much fun as it was I feel like I was running around like a crazy woman, trying to keep up with the boys (who to each his own wanted to do different things) all while trying to capture the "moments" with my camera. I was exhausted after about 1 hour of searching for the perfect pumpkins!

Signature pose~sticking out his tongue! |

I know what he is thinking, "forget pumpkins, I want to go down those slides!" |

There it is again, his tongue! |

Look close, this is my baby going up those steps by himself, he had to follow his big brother and it didn't end well, he landed upside down on his head but was okay! |

That is Cason going up the middle, I kid you not that this slide was SO high and he loved it! |

This is hilarious, of course both boys looked thrilled to take a family pic! HA! |

The three P's
What better way to start your day than pj's, painting, and pumpkins. While I sat on the back patio and enjoyed my morning coffee, the boys painted their pumpkins. If I do say so myself I think these two pumpkins are a perfect addition to the fall decor on our table!
You will be seeing a lot of pumpkins on my blog in the next few days, we made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch this weekend!
